Boomer Job Board is a brand new site created by a Baby Boomer and dedicated to other Boomers who are frustrated by the usual runaround. There is no clutter or confusion here, just a quiet place for Boomers to park their bios, resumes, or portfolios. In time, Boomer Job Board will attract the attention of employers, and everyone will benefit.
Do you list jobs?
No, we do not list jobs. Instead, we host a list of talented Baby Boomers who are seeking employment upgrades. Like our motto says: "We don't list jobs. We showcase people." Our feeling is that there are already plenty of sites that list jobs (and whether all those jobs really exist or not is another matter). Our purpose is to do away with the confusion and doubt by establishing a straight link between employers and jobseekers.
Why showcase people?
In a difficult job market, there are more talented people looking for work than there are interesting jobs available. We wanted to turn that scenario on its head by giving everyone the opportunity to showcase her or his talents. We especially wanted to showcase Baby Boomers because we think our generation is truly extraordinary, even if we are aging.
How does it work?
It couldn't be easier. There is no login or password, and no registration requirement. You simply post your bio, resume, or portfolio on our site, and then wait for potential employers to contact you. Obviously, you can and should continue your job search on other venues, but by listing with Boomer Job Board you are making a positive step toward your employment goals.
What does it cost?
Absolutely nothing. There is no listing fee for jobseekers, and no search fee for employers.
